The 250μm fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic.The tube is filled with a water-resistant filling compound.The tube is wrapped with a layer of corrugated plastic coated steel tape longitudinally.Between the steel tape and the loose tube,water-blocking material is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight.Two parallel steel wires are placed at the two sides of the steel tape.The cable is sheathed by PE material as inner sheath.After the plastic coated steel tape is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath,the cable is sheathed by PE material.

GYXTW53 armored fiber optical cable use 250μm fiber are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. An PSP is applied around the cable core. which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then the cable core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath. After the PSP is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
